Nikki Calabrese is a showrunner and director based in Los Angeles and New York. She has worked across a wide range of genres in the unscripted and documentary world, from crime and character-driven docuseries to competition formats. Her credits include developing, showrunning, and directing HBO's Small Town News: KPVM Pahrump and showrunning TLC's My Strange Addiction. Her most recent project, Under the Rainbow: The Curious Crimes of the Ruby Slippers, a feature documentary co-directed with frequent collaborator Seth Gordon, premiered at the 2026 Slamdance Film Festival. The two have also worked together on sports documentaries Apple TV+'s The Long Game: Bigger than Basketball and Fox Sports' Finding Home: Journey to the MLB. Her advertising work has earned her Cannes Lions Gold, Clio Silver, and honors from the London International Awards.
